So clearly this stash clean out meant I could buy more flattering eye shadows, right? ;)
Well, helllloooooo Kalahari (the NARS duo, not the desert).
(Picture taken in a Montreal hotel room. Gorgeous view, huh?)
The NARS Kalahari duo palette has two gorgeous shades of brown. One is more goldish-bronze in tone, while the second shadow is a chocolate brown with strong undertones of purple. Both are very pigmented with gorgeous shimmer pearls. The texture is powder soft and buttery, and they blend extremely well together. They suit each other beautifully without being overpowering, which is the best part about this duo. They can easily be worn during the day for a gorgeous and unique brown smokey eye.
This is my second NARS shadow duo and so far the NARS product line seems very consistent in my opinion. The colors are gorgeous and the quality is well worth the high end price tag. These duos retail around $32 apiece, but because they're so pigmented and buttery, you actually don't need to use that much when applying them.
NARS Kalahari and Kuala Lumpur
With this purchase my Sephora Beauty Insider membership kicked in and I received a free sample of the SEPHORA COLLECTION primer. This stuff is nice; it feels a lot like the Bare Escentuals Prime Time primer.
The sales girl also gave me a few more samples, which I wasn't expecting but was pretty cool nonetheless. I received samples of Philosophy's Papaya Passion Punch Shampoo and Shower gel, Bamboo Abundant Volume Shampoo, Conditioner, and Plumping Strand Expand serum, and Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel. So far I've only tried the Ouidad product (which is a major fail, FYI! It totally does NOT control frizz or smooth hair). I'm excited to put the others to work as soon as I get a chance.
Are you a NARS fan?
